What You’ll See And Do
Bike and Kayak Tour Combo
Part 1: Kayak Tour
Our certified La Jolla guides will commence the tour with safety orientation and paddle introduction, you don’t require previous kayaking experience. Your bike and kayak tour begins on the water of the La Jolla shores.
The Kayak Tour of the 7 Caves takes place in the La Jolla Ecological Reserve, where you will explore three unique marine habitats. During your paddle over to the La Jolla sea caves, your guide will share fun and interesting facts about the marine life, sea cliffs, and caves you’ll be exploring. You’ll also be on the lookout for marine creatures such as sea lions, leopard sharks, the occasional dolphin and fish species like the California garibaldi.
When you finish the kayaking portion of this combo tour, you’ll have a 45-minute break for lunch and time to get ready for the biking portion of the tour.
Part 2: Bike Tour
You’ll be transported along with your bike up to the top of Mt. Soledad, where the tour commences. On the descent from Mt. Soledad, you’ll observe the beautiful ocean’s coastline views, ride past some of the most luxurious real estate in the country, and bike into La Jolla’s luscious beach areas. Get a taste of the village’s shopping and dining scene as you ride through downtown La Jolla’s famous Prospect Street. The last stop of this tour takes you to the Children’s Pool, where you can walk onto the sea wall and check out the sun-bathing sea lions. Finally, cruise the world-famous La Jolla Cove, and stop at the historical Cave store for a trek down the 144 steps into the only land-accessible sea cave.
